11 is a very special urban transport line. First bus, then ferry boat, then bus again and finally, near a cemetery, boat. 11 has a dry charm: two parallel lines, twice 1, a double origin. On its metamorphic journey, the line number 11 crosses narrow strips of land between the sea and the lagoon, and stretches of water where currents mix. It is along this path that you can find the temporary shelters built on the beach by collecting materials brought ashore from the sea and furnitures recycled from the most varied origin. During the winter they suffer a despoliation of functional and decorative elements by the storms, that unveil their basic framework. The simplicity of the constructions, the isolation and neutrality of the background, make them an ideal case study to analyse the basic structure of architecture and its minimal and irreducible elements.
